Unhappy Intermittant wipers quit on 98 CV. Help?

I have a 98 CV. The intermittant wipers quit on it the other day. When it is put in intermittant mode, no matter which level, they just run continuously. When you turn them, they stop instantly in whatever position they were when you turn them off. (They don't "park"). I was told it was the relay box under the dash. So, I took the ashtray out, found the box and removed it. I was told one out of a 92 CV would work. I took the one out of a 92, plugged the one out of the 98 into it, and the thing worked fine. I put the one out of the 92 into the 98, and still had the same problem of no intermittant wipers. I was told it was NOT in the multi-switch on the steering column because they just "don't go bad". I was told to see if the motor itself was grounded. It wasn't, but grounding it did not help. Any suggestions? It really sucks to have to turn them on every 30 seconds in a mist, and get the timing right to turn them off when they are at the bottom of the windshield. Can't just leave 'em on either because the dry rubber really makes an annoying noise on the dry windshield. Help? Please? Thanks

Um you were told WRONG. The MFS in the column is one of the MOST common problems with the CVs. Besides, you just proved it was not the box, and if it were the wiper motor itself, it would not work at all (or only one one speed).

Check ALL the fuses, if the "park" fuse or circuit goes bad the wipers will not park. The "park" terminal should have +12V at ALL TIMES with the key in the "run" position. If not, find out why.

I checked every one of the fuses, under the dash, and under the hood. They are all good. Thanks for that idea. Any more suggestions?

Check for power with the key in "run" to the park wire at the motor. If it is there, the motor is bad, if not, look at wiring or the MFS.

Ok. Iw ill just have to see if I can locate that particular wire. I can see the plug from the drivers side, so it shouldn't be too hard to get the wires.
