91 4 door Accord SE door locks ??????
I just bought this 91 Accord SE a month ago. When inserting the key and turning it once it opens the drivers door. Shouldn't turning it twice open ALL the doors? If so, mine doesn't work.
Know what the problem could be? |

No problem that I'm aware of. Unlocking the driver's door unlocks one door. Locking it locks all of them. That's all mine does. And my owner's manual says nothing about what you describe.
Are you confusing it, maybe, with remotes that unlock one door with one click, all doors with two? |

I read the manual too and was hoping that they forgot to tell you that it opened all of them by turning the key twice.
My Toyota 94 4 runner is that way and was hoping the Honda was simular. Seems like I hear something going on in the back drivers side door when I do this but nothing happens. I didn't listen on the other side though. Weird...if it locks all of them why didn't they carry through the design a step farther and make it OPEN all of them? I'm so used to the Toyota that I keep finding myself trying to open the other doors all the time So we have to manually always open all the other doors from inside....damn thats a pain when your used to just turning the key! While I'm on the subject I like my 4 runners feature where if you leave the key in the ignition you CAN NOT lock the doors...it automaticly pops the locks back up....saved me a few times. |

I never tried turning the key twice in my 91 SE. So far I've just used the button on the inside of the door to unlock everything. If the key trick works on my way out of work today, I'll let you know.

Oh yea, how stupid of me! I forgot that you can of course just use the inside door button to open all but never the less, the key method is nice to have.

The 'turning the key twice thing' doesn't work on my SE either.
By the way, Huffa - I saw another Accord SE of the same vintage in the Toronto area the other day. Same colour, aftermarket rims, slightly more rust than mine. That's the first other 1991 SE I've come across since taking possession of my car (July). Gaff |

For sure I'm finding too they are very rare. I constantly check them out on the web at different places and usually it's like 1 out of 30 or 40 is an SE if any at all.

The closest one I've seen of mine was 60 miles away at the capitol.
