should i drop v-tech in my 85lude i got 6k to spend

i was wondering if you could help me with something, im in the military in japan at the moment and ill be back in mississippi in dec, ill have 6k saved up to dump into my 85' honda prelude, it has 170k on a rebuilt engine, manual 1.8L it runs great but id like to beef it up, what do u think i should do? i have a muffler and air filter on it. i wanna get headers/high flow cat/wheels/spoiler/airbags/bodykit but 1st i wanna work on the engine
i was gunna bore it out port polish but i think that would be a waste i think. should i just get a new V-tech and drop it in???
if i get the V-tech will i have enough money to do anything else to it?? thank you for your help

well....

well if you have 6k i would think on buying another car..i mean preludes are fast but for 6k you can get something pretty nice, though i dont thik you would get something as fast as 6k worth of parts for a lude but if you rather keep your car thats cool

Re: should i drop v-tech in my 85lude i got 6k to spend

WIth 6k you can get you a pretty nice prelude like 92-95 or something ive seen them sell cheap enough, hell one of my friends just sole his 93 lude si for 3300 with 89k so i know you can get one better then your 85, I think it would be a waste of time to vtec that old of a model but its your money and your decision...

you have to admit though, an 85 lude with an H22 would be pretty sweet. But i agree, I think i'd rather get a newer lude. 4th gen with AWS.
