L48 with vortec heads?

I am wondering if I can marry my vortec heads to my L48 motor? I have the matching intake...and lookin' at the 268H cam. Is it doable? the L48 has 51,000 on it...runs great...but can't seem to live with the 190hp.
I think it's a good winter project, any thoughts?

if you are putting vortecs on an older 350 you will have to do some reaming to get the holes to line up,also if you are going to carburete it you will need a diffrent intake, edelbrock makes one to work.also there is a slight diffrence in the waterways, this has to be drilled out.
if you don't have the heads already, just buy a set of aftermarket heads and have even more power.
is the bottom end fresh , if not you will need to do the bottom end soon after putting the power to it.mike
