injen short ram install

Can anyone please help me out. I need to install a short ram intake into my 2001 civic and I don't have any instructions. Does anyone have pictures or instructions that might help me out.

Re: injen short ram install

it shouldn't be that hard.
just take your stock air box off (or it might be easy to just rip it off) take the hoseing off of the intake manifold and put your intake on and put some hose clamps on.
I will try to find some pics for you

Re: injen short ram install

If you look at your engine. There will be a section on the top back portion. This will be your intake manifold. You will reconize it because of the big black hose coming out of the left side, going to the air filter box.
That hose coming from the intake manifold must be taken off. In fact, the hose and everthing connected to it can go. All you have to do is take the clamps that hold the hose to the intake manifold (IM) and loosen them. Once they are loose enuf to remove the hose, take it off and everthing connected to it can go.
Now just take your brand new SRI (short ram intake) and put it in it's place. It might look kinda weird because of all the extra space left, but it should be fine.

Keep in mind, this is a very genaral discription on how to do it. I have no experience with 01' civics.

Thanks for all the help. I put it in last night an dit looks great and sound awsome. I am not sure if I have any leaks. Is their an easy way to figure out if you have it on tight enough.

Re: injen short ram install

cover the end with your hand, if it stalls, then its not on tight. or at least that works the opposite way with an exhaust.. cover the end and it will stall
