a couple of weeks ago my radio lights quit working and the other night the dash lights stopped working took it to the dealer and they said it might be a $10 to $12 part but it would cost me $50 to tell me witch relay or switch it is! Now if this is not a conspirce than what is. I know that it has to do with the dimer switch and it is $50, but the dome light part of the switch still works and the mirror lights, any thought and answers?

I got a 92 Explorer something like that happend, Basically you should go to your Fuse box (Under Dash, and Engine Compartmen) ones and check the fuses with a tester then change any blown fuses, Also if that dosen't fix the prob go to AutoZone and get a new switch and do it yourself I did mine in about 3 minutes it cost me like 12-15 dollars. Hope this helps.
