Smile CivRacer meets with an old friend! AAAWWWW...

I never thought for the slightest moment that I would see her again. My old Trans Am. She still looked the same as when I last seen her. Only this time she was running, with power too!

So I had to go back up to work to fix a minor problem. I was taking the usual route along the way, and just ahead of a few cars, I see some recognizable lights. I didn't think it was my Trans, but I wanted to catch it just to admire and reflect on it. But sure enough, it was mine. Paint was chipped really bad, that's why I couldn't recognize.

As soon as I caught it, I pulled up to the driver, rolled down my window and got his attention. He was an older guy, with a mullet (yeah a mullet). Typical 80's guy. But, I told him that it was my old car, and he gladly asked me to race. I didn't even think for the slightest second, and nodded my head yes with excitement.

I dropped into 3rd and looked over to see him waiting for me to go. So I gave it three honks, and punched it. Before I even was able to hit 4th he had put an instant 3 car lengths on my. But the sound, oh the sound of that V8 roaring past me. AAAHHHH, memories. He pulled back and looked over and laughed. I too laughed. We pulled over, and he let me look through my car and admire what he had done with it.

I already forgot what he dropped into the engine bay, but it was so much faster than what it used to be. We parted ways, and I rushed back to work. I'm not ashamed one bit to have lost to my old car. It's good to know that she is being taken care of. Maybe that's what I should be looking for again. HHHMMMM... Well I got owned, but it was well worth the loss. Late...

Nice death to ur old car. When you sell your old car to someone they sometimes don't even take care of it.

Yeah, I was gone that summer when my kid sister blew the engine it. My dad didn't see any reason for keeping it. So he sold it for dirt cheap, I think he sold it for $1K. It only had 94,000 miles on it too. I was only 17 at the time, and fixing cars wasn't my interest. I wish I had her back. Oh well, you never can see a diamond in the rough before you until it's gone. Late...

Haha quite honest I'd rather just pretend I never had a Toyota Rav4, then again, it taught me to be greatful of my car now, and probably kept me out of a lot of trouble hahaha

That is sweet to find your old car, not a bad way to lose a race either.

I've never run into any of my past cars, not that they would get me excited; they were all beaters until I bought my first GTC. I know I won't ever be seeing it again.

I don't think it'd get any better than to lose to a car and be like 'pfft, I used to own that car, no big deal ".

Good death indeed.
