wanna get a 97 VR6. good idea?
i am thinking about buying a 97 Jetta GLX and just want some info on it. I've driven them befor and know that they're pretty peppy but i'd like to know how well they respond to mods and how reliable they are? If you guys have anything good or bad to say about that car please let me know. thanks.

Re: wanna get a 97 VR6. good idea?
Depends on how well it was maintained, just like any other car.... The motor it self is pretty bullet proof, timing chains need replaced at like 120k.
As far as modding, intake and exhuast just for the sound. |

Chip will help, but not all that much. They should run for a long ass time if everything is done right. If you really want to add some power, boost it or get cams.
