Charlie, Frances and Ivan

This is to Z fanatic in southern Fla. and anyone else in se USA that posts on this site. Hope and pray that you are all ok after the last few weeks of hell that you have gotten. No matter how bad it got, just remember that houses, cars and bikes are material things that can be replaced. Body parts and loved ones can't. Once again, hope that all of you made it through alright.

Ain't that the truth. Life is worth more than any beach-front property or convertible could ever be.

(thats not being gay is it? not that theres anything wrong with that)

Thumbs up Thanks

I live in Melbourne, FL, damn near where Frances' eye made land fall. There were some downed trees, roof damage, and some power outages, but other than that, we were o.k. I was flown to Virginia to my company's backup Network Ops center, so I wasn't in any kind of danger. Had my bike put in a friends hurricane rated garage, and my car was at the orlando parking garage airport. Now it looks like the panhandle needs to evac...God bless to everyone and take care.

Re: Charlie, Frances and Ivan

I'm from Kingston, Jamaica. Both Charlie and Ivan passed just south of Kingston. Charlie just gave us a little rain, but Ivan pounded the south coast pretty badly. I had no power for eight days, and water supply was sporadic and often quite dirty.

Some people in Jamaica still have no power as a result of Ivan. I am very thankful that I'm not one of them.
