car stalling...

ive changed my spark plugs... coils and wire... all i need now is a new tensioner and i have a new egine... theres no point in changing a fuel filter and expecting it to work.. u must change ur filter every 20000km or 12 months... and ive changed that too on my 98 sunfire.. but i still have the same problem... hopefully ill change one of the following and that will work....
Need a new fuel pump
need new injectors
need a new ingntion molecule

don't know how much they gonna cost... but don't waste ur money like i did... get it checked by GM... if they say coil/ fuel filter hes a liar!!!

Re: 98 sunfire bogging out when idling

I have a 98 Sunfire with the same problem. I found it was the fuel injectors. They were gummed up. I removed the injectors cleaned them in injector cleaner. Changed the injector "O" rings. It runs like a top now.
Did you know that Corvette injector "O" rings will fit!!! They are the same part number.

Mine used to do that I replaced the spark Wires and it fixed it. It did it at idle kinda bad and when you took off it would jerk around.

Re: 98 sunfire bogging out when idling

remove the IAC (idle air control) clean it with carb cleaner push the plunger all the way back in (do not force it) plug it in and start it up. it will idle high at first, but it should come down in less than a minute and right itself. just did it and it fixed mt idle problems.
