Block Warmers?!?!
ok...this was mentioned a little bit earlier. i need to invest in a block warmer for my z32. i did a couple searches on ebay and came up with random stuff and no technical info or designs of the product.
story: i am pretty sure there is something wrong with my car but i cant find it and nissan has no idea. first, everytime my car sits over night and the engine gets completely cold it take a about 5 seconds to turn over and after it starts you have to hold down the gas just a little bit to keep it from dying. otherwise the engine will just die and then it is even harder to get it to start. if i shut off the engine and it doesnt get completely cold then it starts right up perfect. now the biggest problem is that once it gets relatively cold my engine doesnt want to start at all. this morning the temp. dropped down to about 50 degrees and i had to crank on my engine for atleast a 45 seconds. the whole time its trying to start its like turning over but not starting so its like a put..........put.........put.......put....put...pu t..put.putputputput and then it finally starts. i think it may be something to do with fuel delivery. also, if it is over 60 degrees it just has the normal problem where i have to hold down the gas to keep it going. any ideas??? i have posted this a couple of times but no help. i haev replaced my ACC, fuel filter, plugs. EDIT: i just remembered, last night when i was taking those pictures i happened to see smoke (from where the hot from the exhaust is mixing with the cold in the air) only coming out of the driver's side exhaust tip. so i go stick my hand in front if the tips. the driver's side was blowing out normally hot exhaust and the passenger side was almost blowing out cold exhaust. anyone have any reasoning behind this????

Check your fuel pressure and see if the pump is up to par. Check the resistance of your injectors and see there with in limits. Check the timing and make sure it's dead nut on 15 degrees BTDC.
Worse case keep the tank full of fuel and let it idle all night and never get cold. JFK

lol...yeah especially with gas being $2.50. damn...should have bought a civic. lol.
but maybe that is why the previous owner had a kill switch put in. so he could take out the keys and lock the doors but the car is still running until you disarm the switch....hm... what an asshole???

Re: Block Warmers?!?!
Yuh... I was gonna mention fuel too. Check all your lines, injectors, filter and pump. And you are using PREMIUM, right?
