Re: windshield film

New car snot...every brand new car I've had gets this. From what I understand (don't know if it's true or not) it's just all the vapors from all the new plastics and whatnot secreting (for lack of a better term) and they cause a film. I just clean the inside of the windshield with rubbing alcohol and over time it dissipates. Be patient, it'll go away in time.

Re: windshield film

I know it sounds far fetched and bizarre, but it's true! Every car I've bought brand new does this, and it takes a few months but it eventually goes away. I have a new Wrangler Unlimited and it's doing the same thing. Pretty wacky, but its gotta hold some merit.
