Re: 2004 EVO VIII vs 2004 Audi S4.

Oh okay then, I doubt it has any chance of hell of beating an Evo around any track.

Re: 2004 EVO VIII vs 2004 Audi S4.

Do you have the video where a stock evo beat an M3 on top gear? I'd really like to see that one because I really don't believe it as much as I like the evo.

The S4 was a whole second faster than an M3. Let me see how an evo does at that same track.

Ok never mind, I found it.

You're right, the Evo is faster than the S4 around a race track. However, if someone said to me "you can have two evos or one S4" I'd still pick the S4 because it's actually a fully loaded luxury car you can enjoy every day and still be fast in it. And the S4 would take an evo from a roll.

But, the evo didn't beat a CLS M3 on the race track and an S4 is faster than the plain M3. Also, the Murcielago is a whole 5 seconds faster than an evo 8. I'm really suprised to see most of the cars there, especially the Focus RS and the Golf. Isn't the golf FWD?

Yeah I know, I saw that carrera GT when they tested it.

Anyway, what is the MR? Is that the same as the RS evo without air conditioning and everything else - pretty much just like a race car? Anyone can make a car lighter, name it a different model and race it. If they took all the options the audi has out, they'd shave a lot of weight off. Heated leather seats weigh a lot, unlike racing seats like the evo probably has. That's not an excuse, it just shows that one is made for just racing, the other one is a luxury sports car for every day driving. Not that you can't drive the evo every day, but which one would you seriously rather have?

Anyway, if they took a RS4 and took all the options out that they don't need for racing, like they did with the evo MR or RS, the result would be totally different.

Anyway, I'm really disappointed with the SL55 AMGs time. RWD - almost 500 hp and over 500 lb/ft of torque should do a lot better than that.

Re: 2004 EVO VIII vs 2004 Audi S4.

I was too. I sat in one at the dealership and it was soo nice. However there heavy ass mofos.

Anyways I think this thread is pretty much done. From a dig for a 1/4 mile or track EVO>S4. Any longer then a 1/4 mile S4>EVO and from a roll S4>EVO
