Anything 280Zx

Can anyone tell me what I should do to get rid of some weight in my 83 280zx 2+2 I want A/C back seat. Anything else I can get rid of to lighten it up. Or any other cool info on a 280zx

Interior.... Go To Fiber Or Carbon Fiber Body Panels, Lighter Wheels, Replace Steel With Aluminum Where Possible, Carbon Steel Exhaust, Lexan Windows, Pantera Style Hatch, And So Much More.

Don't forget the most important one... LOSE SOME WEIGHT YOURSELF! Ever notice that most, if not all racers are skinny guys? LoL Serious!

Thanks... well, pretty much what musicurfman mentioned is what you should do. You may also may want to get a nice racing/Bucket seat and if you wanna get drastic drop the passenger seat altogether! I also believe you can probably even get a Fiberglass hood for a 280ZX but I'm not too sure... you would probably have to source from Japan or get it customed made. I'm sure the guys around here will see your thread and will give you any tips they can think of...

Re: Anything 280Zx

There Are A Ton Of Places That Have Parts For The 280zx... You Really Just Have To Search, I Know In My Searching For 280z Parts I've Come Across A Company That Has Fiberglass Replacement Panels For The Entire 280zx Body.

Re: Anything 280Zx

hot damn, that must cost a pretty penny... if the 280's anything like my 300 then there's a bunch of that heavy padding stuff in the back that you really don't need... it probably weighs a good 50 lbs when you put it all together... that's a lot of unneeded weight
