gmpartsdirect.com???

Does anyone know if I order parts off of the aformentioned web site, (and it takes too long to get them), then I run to my dealer to get them, can I take the parts I get from gmpartsdirect.com back to the dealer once they come in (since I have a reciept for them)?

Re: gmpartsdirect.com???

be careful as some dealers mark their parts and will know. Also, if you need a Delco part, I work for a Delco distributor in Flint, MI and we will match their price, and only charge you actual UPS charges to ship, no extra "handling" charge. Our number is 1-800-852-6933, and ask for Rich, as I get a small commission for all over the counter/over the phone sales.

Re: gmpartsdirect.com???

The yellow and white label has the dealer code and order number on it. If you can peel it off and return the part you will probably be ok. Other than that the box or package has no dealer specific codes on them.

One last thing to be aware of is when I was working in parts at a large chevy dealer we marked all of are outgoing parts with a marker that had our logo on it, the trick was the logo only showed up under a black light. We got tired of taking back other peoples parts.

Good luck with it.

John

Thanks for the info guys,

I will probably chalk this one up to learning the hard way. Don't want to piss anyone off, gmpartsdirect.com or my local dealer, wasn't that much money anyway.

thanks for your replys.
