Re: Replacing Oil Filter

Get underneath your car and look for something thats probably most likely white or orange, just crank it loose, if it give's you trouble, use a filter wrench, if more trouble take it to someone who knows what they are doing, and just don't change the filter b/c from what you wrote thats what it sounds like your going to do.

Re: Replacing Oil Filter

It should be above the oil pan. Make sure you drain your oil first, otherwise you might make a mess.

Re: Replacing Oil Filter

The filter is under the intake manifold. And yeah you'll probably need to get a filter wrench, I just did mine about 2 months ago and it was a pain in the ass to get it off with out one; next time I'm definently using one.
Here's a "diagram" of what to do:

Re: Replacing Oil Filter

A few more suggestions:
1. buy a decent filter wrench...not the $3 ones at autozone...because they suck and don't help.
2. When you put your next one on, put some oil around the lip or it, on that rubber gasket seal...this will help it come off easier next time. And also only put it on there handtight...don't overtighten or it will leak.
