2004 Jetta - Mexico Dealer Story

Went to a dealership last night to pick up my GFs Passat. The dealer and I began to talk about Jettas and Jetta Wagon. I told him I was interested in a Jetta but not one built in Mexico so I would only look into the wagon. He said that last year, VW closed the Mexico plant for over a day regarding assembly problems and that 90% of the problems have been fixed with the 2004 sedan. I want a sedan over a wagon, but am still leary about Mex vs. Germany. Has anyone heard this story? Does any one have any news links?

Thanks

Thanks a bunch. I posted today. Hopefully I can get some news from a 2004 owner.
