Looking for a little sound advice for my mother's car.
I have yet to have time to personally check out the car but here is what I know. Several weeks ago my mother's car failed to start. Nothing, no relay clicking, no cranking, nothing. I told her to take to a local mechanic we deal with on a regular basis. He struggled to find anything wrong with it, again I have not yet talked to him personally. He sent off for a electronic schematic and put the car to the side to deal with other customers. Yesterday I talked to my mother again and she informed me that "one of the fuses under the hood" A2 fuse to be exact blows everytime the key is turned to the on position. The mechanic is at a lost as electronics are not his expertise. I do not know exactly what this fuse controls and definately not sure what is causing it to blow every time....anyone have any ideas? I appreciate any advice as I'm swamped at work and unable to look at it right now. Thanks! |

Re: 94 Camry no start - Blown "A2" fuse
I speak from experience, same A2 fuse on my 92 Camry... Take off the distributer cap, pull off the coil wires (small nuts).... Check the Condensor for a short, then the coil itself for a short... My Condensor was shorted due to heat... Can purchase at your local Toyota dealer (around $4 to $5)..... Keep us posted...
