Whats up with my Tach!?!?

Hey guys, I just installed an Autogage tach. I have a six in my car right now, and your supposed to configure the gauge for six. I know I did that right. Seems like when Im in Low it gets to about 2,800 RPM's then I have to shit into Drive. Doesnt that seem very LOW!. I was thinking it would be my Transmission, i think it still has the regular Powerguild on their. Any help would be apperciated.

Re: Whats up with my Tach!?!?

Well since I havent had anyone respond. The Tach is hooked up to the negitive side of the coil. Plus I do have a Pertronix Ignitor on the Distributor. Could that be affecting it?

have you checked the instructions and cut one on the little wires on the back side of the tach. if not it will be way wrong.
