Re: Compressor on Pontiac Trans am

I'll bite. What's a real dragster compressor?
As for performance tips for your 455, I suggest Jim Hand's new book "How to Build Max-performance Pontiac V8s", by SA Designs. This is the first comprehensive study of the Injun engine (traditional Pontiac V8) since 1976. In there, you will learn about Pontiac's history in racing, some "secrets" (not really secret, but Pontiac-specific) to make the engine make tremendous power AND live, and a good discussion on factory parts versus more modern aftermarket stuff.

Re: Compressor on Pontiac Trans am

The book is sold through most of the Pontiac outlets. BOP Engineering and Performance Years are the best bet.

performanceyears.com
bopengineering.com
amesperformance.com
centralvirginiamachine.com
kre.com

There ar others. The above sites are a wealth of Pontiac informatiion, without all the usual "put a Chevy in it" BS.
A couple others are:

classicalpontiac.com
boyleworks.com (muscle cars)

These sites have excellent Pontiac-specific forums.
