New Member with a question
Hello, I just baught a 2004 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab with a short bed 2 weeks ago. It has almost all the options but it did not come with a bedliner. I had to order a "drop-in" bedliner from Nissan which they said was the only option, when i got it. It looked like it was almost perfect except the fact that i want a Tonneau Cover. Heres the problem, they said the dropin bedliner can not have a Tonneau Cover installed with it. I can't seem to find any Tonneau Cover for my truck because the rails are all covered up with the new "Drop-in" bedliner and there is no way to install any clamps on the sides to hold the rails. What can i do? i really need a Tonneau Cover because of the winter time. Please someone help me.. Thanks!

Liners
Hey take to drop in liner back asap. You will find after a while that all they cause is problems with scratching and rusting the bed. Go to a quallity aftermarket truck place that does spraying liners and talk to them about installing a toneu cover as well. You can even get kits to do a paint on liner if you what to do it yourself. I had a 95 with the factory drop in liner and the bed rusted out in about five years. I now own a 2000 frontier crew cab that has a spray in liner, much cleaner looking and there will be no rust. That's my two cents.

Re: New Member with a question
will nissan take it back? they didn't even tell me it was a drop in bed liner when i baught the car weeks ago. and when they installed it, the installation sucks. when it rains, the water is still inside the bedliner and doesn't roll off. thats how bad it is. thanks for your information, i found a place today on "www.carmicdirect.com/store/product/100736.100799/" and they told me i am able to install it on the drop in bedliner.

I would assume if you just bought the bedliner you could probably take it back. Just come up with some lame exuse that it's not working out for you. I wouldn't install any spray in liner over the drop in liner, you'll see cracks in the new liner very soon as the old liner is going to move around. And it's going to take up more room in the bed. Again my two cents.

Re: New Member with a question
Try making your own. you can secure it to the bed with screw in eyelets on the leading edge of the cover and open ended turnbuckles secured on the trucks eyelets located in each corner of the bed. You can even make it with a hinge for access to the bed. Make sense?
