I have a 93 accord, automatic. It's leaking oil, seem all up and down the backside of the engine. Also has some oil in cylinders 1&2. Can't seem to locate exact point of leak. Was thinking of replacing the head gasket and hoping for the best. Good/bad idea? What else should I do/check?
Thanks, Tony |

Re: Oil leak, best guess
How many miles on your car, I'm assuming over 100k, do you have blue smoke out the exhaust. You may have worn piston rings/valve guides...it's pretty common.

Re: Oil leak, best guess
Igovert500,
Thanks for the reply. No blue smoke. Would a compression test rule in or out the piston rings/value guides? (haven't done that yet --wasn't sure if worth doing) It's got just over 155k miles. Tony |
