I really need help on this one. this car gets me to and from school and i need it so any info would be awsome asap. ok this is what happened. a couple of weeked ago a friend of mine wanted to test some speakers on my amp. i forgot to disconnect my speakers so i wastrying to pull more then 800 watts and i blew my in line fuse on my batter cable from my amp to the battery. well when i blew it my car suddenly studdered and died. i thought i had maybe shocked the battery and just need a second to reset or something of that nature. but i looked at my gauges and the gas gauge had dropped from full to past empty. I had a full tank before i blew the fuse. so i tried to start it but it just kept turning over and over and over. so i leave it for maybe 3 min. try to start it . tarts right up no problems. the gas gauge slowly comes back to full i forget about it. well last week it died on me at school. and i noticed the gas gauge doing that samething. so i wait and wait and start it an dit starts runs fine for the day. then the next day it stuters and dies going downt he road so i quickly pull off and the gas gauge sure enough is at the E and i had a full tank. and i changed the fuel filter an but better gas in it and it still does it. what could be the problem. does any one know or have you had this problem. i really need my car back. i hope some one has answer. my car is a 1991 honda accord lx 4d auto. thanx

Re: weird stalling 91 accord lx
You may have fried the ignition switch. How do you have the amps hooked up (power source)?

Re: weird stalling 91 accord lx
no i didnt. i found out wheni had wired the amp that i had taken a grouned off the fuel gauge sending and replaced it with my apms and didnt ground the unit again so it was hanging loose and when it would move it would tell the computer i had no fuel and the computer would kill the engine. so i connected it back up. but i have my amp wired to my battery trough my fire wall. with an inline fuse and its grounded to the body its all good now. i knew it had to be soemthing simple. thanx for the help.
