O2 sensors.. i get varied opinions from mechanics

my 89 legend coupe has very rich smelling exaust. also i get the engine light when its hot outside. any opinions on this?
where can i get an O2 sensor? how can you determine if they are bad?

pull the code. If its the primary O2 sensor, then change it. Problems solved.

If its something else, come back and report.

I have a 90 coupe. my code came up with the rear O2 sensors, but i replaced them both. Car runs alot better now. Not sure what superbluecivicsa is talking about "primary", but the 1st gen legends have one in each exhaust manifold. I'd start by pulling the code like superblue suggested. O2 sensors run around $30 - $35 for each.
