Humming or Whinning noise

When i drive i hear a weird humming or whinning noise. sounds like it is comming from the rear end. dont know what it is. mostly happens when i am barely pressing the gas to maintain steady speed. cant hear it under acceleration. thanks for any help.

From what you say that sounds like a pinion bearing in the rear diff.
