only reason you really need sloted/drilled is if your really into road racing (did not say street racing.. something differnt) or autocross type of stuff where you use the brakes just as much as the gas. The slots/holes help dispence heat and give a passage for the exhaust gasses to escape, giving greater brake bite and reduced fade. They also wear out quicker and eat up pads faster.
Most of the high quality companys are no longer doing drilling because of the high risk of cracked rotors, insted they now dimple there rotors where you get the same effect without as much risk.

well that was the best explanation i have ever heard... dude you rock and thanks for the info... i have not done road racing i am more into drag but i might try the track someday ... but yeah good explanation
