Would a 9c1 95 or 96 be Faster than my 95 tbird??

I always wanted the 5.7 litre 95 or 96 caprice, cop package of coarse with stiffer springs, bigger brakes, simply a hot ride-i think. Whats the engines rated at on those pups?? I have a 95 ford thunderbird which is roughly 3650lbs, 4.6L V8 205hp and 270ftlbs @ 3200 rpms. It is a powerfull car for its weight, but another thing is the fact it has a speed limiter at 103mph. Plus the driveshafts suck-lots of vibration past 95 (common on 95 birds). I've read that the caprice tops out over 130mph?? AND they have good shafts.

I don't know anything about the shafts, but the caprice engine specs are as follows:

'89 5.7L 190Hp@4400rpm 285torque@2400rpm
'95 5.7L 260Hp@5000rpm 330torque@3200rpm
'96 5.7L 260Hp@5000rpm 330torque@2400rpm

These figures are from a wonderful cop car website, www.9c1.com
The model data can be found at http://www.9c1.com/brochures/index.html
and its not just for caprices but all GM police package models
