Why I am not going to swap a TII engine into my 87 base.
Because i am going to buy an FD.
I figure its less expensive for me to start with a factory turbo car and modify it from there. The only problem is finding one that matches exactly what i want. I'm actually not too picky, i just want white and manual, and i dont care about any other options.

i dont think the swap really costs that much even if you find a turbo car your probally are going to have to rebuild that motor at some pt and keep in mind that is you go with a na car and do the turbo swap into it your insurance will be cheaper......

i'm still debating it. i have the money for an FD but i remebered about the insurance, maybe i can have my mom cover it (shes like 40 and a good driver so shes got good rates).

hey tankaboy, don't be an idiot. unless you live in Japan or plan on doing a replica swap over, then no one stateside can get a Series 8 legally.
white 5sp FDs are pretty hard to find nowadays. I wanted one until I saw an original 1993 Competition Yellow Mica R1 FD3S. Couldn't help it so I had to get it. It'll be in my driveway this coming January. yay! Kevin
