114000 mile service

I got a letter saying that since my car is approaching 114000 miles, it should be getting its service. idk if this is actully a real service like say the 60k is. if it is what kind of stuff do they do, cuz i had all the hoses/belts replaced when i got the car in april, or is this just some scam to have me spend money at the dealership??

114000 is a lot of miles. If u havent put many miles on it since april i wouldn't worry about it too much. It wouldnt hurt though to call the dealership and ask them why and what they would be doing to your car, and how much it would cost. The five minutes and a couple bucks might make a big difference in your cars life.

I wonder if that is true or not cause my car is at 114600. I hope its not cause i am tired of putting money into my car.

Every 60k/5 years the timing belt and water pump should be changed, and everything else should be checked out. 114k seems a bit random to me, 120k would make more sense, but perhaps they are doing this on a 10 year basis, since yours is a 94...if your belts and waterpump were changed a few months ago, there is no need for a huge tuneup. Perhaps just check the plugs, wires, and maybe a new fuel filter (depending on when that was changed last).

ok one off topic question. how often should you get the timing belt changed. mine was done at 60-75k miles. is it due for one soon?

or not since 75,000miles were on the car?

Because if your timing belt was changed in April, unless you put 60,000 miles on it since April, you don't need to change it again.
