Cool mods for an SS
hello everyone who sees this.

i have a 2001 SS i want to do some modifications to my car but i have no i dea what to add. i want to start small and dont want to spend more than $500 please help. if i decide to spend more can you still list some more mods not more than $3500.

i saw them i dont want to take anything out of the engine or rear seat, the wrapping the of the headers sounds good

does a cold air induction system work real well from (SLP) with my ss or i dont need one

You won't see any noticable differences from one or two basic mods such as that, the cheap mods work better when done in unison. CAI is irrellevant, you already have a pretty decent lid. You would be better served with suspension mods right now. The mods as mentioned above in the other thread are mainly for an LT1. The possibilities are great as for performance with 3500 bucks though.

just the quality of it was bad for me... It let air bypass the filter because of a crack on the bottom side of it that I didn't see... I'm not the only one who has had that problem with GMS unit... But no, if yours works and does not have any leaks their is no real difference any any aftermarket lid...
Whisper, SLP, I'm sure I'm leaving some out, and my favorite is Stealth are all better built, IMO...

so i should put the cold air from (SLP), and rap the headers since they are stock, and put a strut bar for handling. those the cold air change the air box? or i should buy the cold air an a new air box from (SLP)

i am also going to have the tranny flush (6 speed), and the radiator, and the fuel injection also . should i do it, my car has 60,000 miles

yea get a SLP air lid... its one part... get the whole kit for your car the one with the scoop for under neath...
do not wrap the headers, your car is not a race car and you will casue a fire because you will not keep replacing the wrap...
strut tower bars are great..

have the trans filter replaced too...

cool then i will flush those parts, and i will buy an air lid from (SLP), and the strut bar. so do i also buy the cold air induction system.
