Hi, I hope someone can help me with some specs. I have an 86 c10 with a 305(5.0) it has 160k on it now and seems to run fine. I was hoping someone could tell me what the oil pressure should be when idling and at highway speed 60-70mph. Right now am getting 10-12@idle and 30-32 at higway speed. I talked to a couple local dealers and they said this was pretty good for one with that many miles . Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Re: 1986 chevy c10 oil pressure
also, if you are concerned, run a thicker oil perhaps 10w40 instead of 10w30, if it really becomes an issue switch to 15w40, in the summer ofcourse.
