Few questions about my x-C.O.P. car.
Ok guys, I got me a 96' Chevy Caprice, Classic, X-COP car.
So far I haven't done anything too it other than put some new spinner caps on it and a sound system .Now that I have done those things I have moved on to the exaust system. I want to take the muffler off and mabey put a new pipe on it. Basicly, I want the thing to be really loud and so you know it coming when I go down my street. My first question is. How do I remove the muffler. I need a guide of some kind if possible. Second. What are if any negative draw backs about taking it off. I don't mean the added vibration or the shakiness. I mean will it effect the perfomance in anyway. I want the car to be fast as it can. I have already been up to around a 120 in the thing on I-95 so it is a solid performer. Thanks, Bryan

Re: Few questions about my x-C.O.P. car.
Taking away too much back pressure will result in improper air fuel mixture on a computer controlled fuel injected engine. You can get away with putting a Flowmaster or other performance muffler on to get the sound, but removing it all together will actually hurt performance.

Ok thanks for the repy my man. I just talked to my bro and he said he would extend the pipe to the end of the car or something. He said it wouldn't hurt it, should I trust him or not.
I might wait a few weeks and have the dual exaust put on cause I just got a job.
