parked on level, transmission won't go @start
When my dad's 93 Grand Prix (automatic) is parked on level ground, you can put it into drive, but it won't go. If it's parked on a hill, you can start it and coast for a bit until the engine warms up a little, then you can make it to 2nd gear, then later you have all gears. It's got new transmission fluid. Any other ideas?

You need a valve body or torque converter. My money is on the torque converter.

I'll start there. Sounds like my weekend is shot!
