Talking 95 Grand Prix Electrical Snag? Quits/will not start

Could someone help me in finding out what the hell is going on with my car? The car ats very unusual at start-up this morning all of the lights on the dash were going on and off. I tried to start it up but the car only made a clicking sound like when your starter goes. A few attempts later the car wanted to start but there seemed to be not enough juice to turn over like when your altenator is broke. I checked under the hood closer at the starter. All seemed well there except for some corrosion. I cleaned that up thouroughly. I looked at the aux battery terminal, and did the same thing there and also at the other circuit breaker panel on the passenger side. I superbly cleaned both of those panels. I metered all of my breakers and everything was good. My battery terminals are clean, and also should add that my battery is brand new last January. There has been a few times when the car just quit when driving down the road and enabling the windshield wipers. I know it sounds very weird but I swear that is what happened! The starter was rebuilt two years ago and I cannot see it going already. I am at witts end trying to figure it all out. I am leaning towards a alternator but hear all kinds of stories on here about people replacing their alts and paying bucks for the work and having the problem return. What would be the concensus from some of you experts out there? Any help here would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If the starter of solenoid is going bad then when you try to start it the battery may get drained doing that. It may be possible you have a loose ground (or corroded). If you do need or get a new alt. I think most if not all part stores carry lifetime replacement warranties on them, you shouldn't have too much of a problem changing it.

have the battery checked while you're at it. You may have a cell going bad, which will allow low level current to operate lights and radio, etc... yet not enough amperage to start the car. Any chain auto parts store should be able to test both the alternator and battery, which should narrow your possibilities.
