looking into buying a neon, have some ?'s first though:)
hi all you Neon owners out there, ive been looking to get a new commuter/project car. ive been looking at the ford focus, dodge neon, and a few different honda models, and was wondering if you could give me some info about your cars. What do you like about them? What dont you like? do you have enough room? What kind of city/highway milage do you get on what years? is there a good aftermarket for these things? What's the stock suspention feel like? you know, stuff i would want to think about before buying one, i havent gotten a chance to test drive one yet, but even so i would lke to get your input on them, also what kind of problems have you had with them? Thank you all for any and all help in advance.

what year neon are you speaking of..personally i would put money into a honda before i put anything into a neon. i know the older neons have head gasket problems.

i got a 95 and have had no head gasket problems yet and it has 150,000 miles on it. to answer the other guy, mine gets about 32 highway and 28 city i believe thats what the sticker says, suspension in mine feels like its dropped not by height but by ride, but thats just cause my struts and the rest of my suspension need to be replaced lol. i would say go with a neon if not a neon then a focus. i know alot of people who have owned hondas (including my mom and my brother) and everybody that i know has said that were no kinds of reliable, i have never owned a honda so i dont know by first hand how they are.

neons are a good stock car but the focus has a load of easy bolt on to add alot of HP without doing to much work

Re: looking into buying a neon, have some ?'s first though:)
ive owned neons, honda, no focus though. I like both my honda and my neon honda is a little better on gas but the neon was a lot funner to drive my honda civic road hard. neon was alittle softer neon more comfy all in all both break neon is cheaper to fix head gasket on honda twice neon once your choice you will enjoy either one.
