Lovely. Beautiful blue, disapointed that there's no body work, but next time.... right? You can make the CF fit the hood Steve, just think and try.

Great progress. Really, a fantastic job. One question however out of curiosity: I would like to know why you went with the Bayside Blue over any of the other colours in the Nissan range? Black, wine red, silver, gun grey etc. are all more 'popular' colours. Was it wanting to do something a little different while still remaining faithful to Nissan's colour range?

Overall however, I am absolutely gobsmacked at the sheer detail and finishing of your work. Thankyou for updating us.

Oh boy... that's a really unique color. Gives a different feeling to the R32. Btw, is that the wheels u'll use? and what colour? dark gray w/ chrome edge would look very sexy imo, lol. Anyways, keep up the good work!

Re: Progress - 1:12 Skyline R32 GTR

Are those the wheels from the kit or did you make those too. Man the more I see progress on this kit I want one with a set of the turned aluminum parts you made. Yep it is time you package and sell this stuff cause I will buy.

Re: Progress - 1:12 Skyline R32 GTR

The kit he's using is the Veilside 1:12. He not adding the exterior body kit but it looks like he's using the Veilside wheels.

I'm trying to decide what to do with the bonnet, I was going to Carbon Fibre it but none of the 1:12 sheets cover this bonnet in one peice (just a bit too small). I think it will be blue as well.

Thanks for looking
Hey Hiro.. what about a flat black... i guess could be nice!!!...

Thanks for looking??.. thank you for show all this to us!!!!

Re: Progress - 1:12 Skyline R32 GTR

Looks great! That is a beautiful color, very rich. Are you sure you can't do the carbon fiber? I've had good luck laying down two CF decals next to each other and making them look like a solid peice, you just have to take care to align the weave. The pattern is so busy it makes it difficult to notice the seam, and the decals (at least the SMS one I use) are so thin there is nary a texture at the joint. Perhaps you can put a call in to the manufacturer, see if they will run a special printing of the decal? Unlikely, but, if they're told their decal is just a smidge too narrow, perhaps they will find it in their best interest to sell a slightly bigger sheet - 1:12 is bit, after all, and I'd be surprised if you were the only person to have this problem. Anyway, looks like you're gettin' there, I for one can't wait.
