Angry Car Alarm

I have a 97 Millenia and when I lock the doors it automaticaly activates the car alarm. My problem is after about two minutes the alarm will go off by itself. I've checked the interior light and it doesn't come on. I checked the pin by the bottom of the door that turns off the interior lights and that is being pushed in all the way. Is there a way to deactivate the alarm so I can lock my doors or is there any easy fix to this? Strangely enough it seems to happen mostly but not exclusively when it's 80 degress Fairenheit and up.

Also my driver side seat warmer doesn't work.
The A/C doesn't work...Can't hear compressor come on.
Check engine light use to always come on when I lived in Florida. Now that I'm back in Minnesota it hasn't come on for over 4 months now (EGR prob?).
Big hesitation if I try to start out fast or tromp on the gas pedal to pass.

Those are just a few prob's. Don't need answers to those....I've given up on them.

Any help on the alarm would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Car Alarm

Check the hood pin switch too. You might have one for the rear too.

Re: Car Alarm

Thanks. That's probably it. I rear-ended someone a couple months a go and bent the hood a little.

Where is the hood pin switch???? If I find that to be the cause do you think I could just tape it down or soemthing? I assume the only feature I would lose would be the security of the alarm going off if the hood is opened.

Re: Car Alarm

Yep, you should see it somewhere I think on the front core support. What you could do is sit on the edge of the hood, arm it and wait 30 sec. then get off the hood. If it doesn't go off, beat on the hood a little and see if it goes off. If it does, unplug the hood pin. Or, even if it doesn't, unplug it and see what it does for a while.

Re: Car Alarm

That must have been it. So far it hasn't gone off and it's been a week. Thanks for the advice.
