performance
i am new to jettas, and my sister just bought a 95, but a couple newer ones caught my eye -
im looking at either a 1.8T or VR6 - 2001 i believe . . . which is faster? any other performance differences i should know? |

If your looking to mod, I would suggest the 1.8T. There are alot more things you can do with that engine, and personaly, I would favor a turbo anyday over a NA. If you cant get the 1.8T, the VR6 still is an awsome engine with alot of room to mod, just a turbo already hands you the forced induction where as a VR6, you gotta add that your self.

Yo! The VR6 is way better. There is so much more potential with the bigger liter engine. Stock, the VR6 is faster. 150 hp for turbo. 174 for VR6. On top of that, you can add a turbo. The regular stuff, like the suspension is better too. The rev limit is higher on the 6, also

they upped the horsepower in '02 in the 1.8T to 180hp.
