quick 4.7L question

Has anyone seen 4.7L with high mileage? I've read some articles where the author was concerned with the distance from the upper ring to the top of the piston causing issues in the long run.

Has this turned out to be the case? Do a lot of 4.7s that have been worked burn oil at high mileage, or break their top rings?

thanks,

I have 113,000 on my 4.7 and it still runs strong. It doesn't use any oil at all.

I have a 99 JGC 4WD that just rolled over 162k miles. Still running strong and getting 18.5 mph combined.
