I was reading an issue of Honda Tuning that stated that Honda is going to start production of the U.S. Fit here shortly. It actually was one of the top selling honda models in Japan. Don't know how well it would do here. What do you guys say on it?

Why don't they think about bringing a car over that competes with the higher end cars instead of another underpowered echo-looking p.o.s. I could see if like Ferarri was trying to market to the lower income brackets but Honda is already affordable. I do like the lay out of the gauges though. Would be a waste of effort I.M.O

I agree with ra227. Honda needs to start competing or it's going to get killed by Subaru, Mitsubishi, etc. How about a FI car already, or even a fast, highly tuned V6 for christs sake? No, instead we get another pseudo-futuristic econo-box....

Hey, a throwback to the old 4-dr Civic wagon. Too bad it's coming out at $12k instead of $10k, or someone might have actually bought one.

Mitsubishi motors isn't doing so hot, last I heard. How many people are really in the market for a > $30k car, anyway? It's not a very large sales bracket.

That said, Honda's current lineup really isn't that inspiring outside of the S2000, 6-spd Accord V6, and RSX-S (where's the Type-R?)... all over $20k. I'd love to see a new CRX-- the current Civic Si is just... uncompetitive and uninteresting.
