How do i install an new system in my 97 galant???

I took out thew radio and the harness only had 5 wires... i look in the trunk and the radio harness is hanging by the trunk light... is that normal?? and how would i hook up a new radio?????

actully everything you are seeing there is normal, I put a Pioneer Cd player in my Galant and 2 rockford speakers, but when you are looking for a new system you need to make sure you get the connectors from the people you buy the new system from because todays electronics won't match up with the harness wires in the dash, or in the trunk. I recomenned putting a pre-amp in the car because I ended up having low power issues because the car wasent designed to handle all of the power you are trying to give it!!! good luck if there are any furthur questions let me know
