feul pump maybe?

my car was acting up horribly, (93 sentra E) it had a little less than a quarter tank of gas, so on a hunch I took a gas can to the gas station (car wouldnt even make it) and filled it up and it started and ran fine, but under throttle it feels as if it isnt making any power. sometimes it will start bogging at any giving moment and then stop, with a lot of gas in it. my question is it my pump or something in the lines clogging flow, or is it the tank? need info really badly!

ah ha , took out the feul pump and the tank is rusted and the filter on the pump is cashed , it looks as if someone stuck it in the mud. next plan is to find an after market tank (plastic preforably) that will fit in my car properly. thanks...
