Thinkin about buying a z32 na....
...is there anything I need to know about "frequent" problems with these cars? My friend just went to texas and bout a 91 stealth na from an older cop, 65k miles and it looks great. But he has had nuthing but trouble with it. So if i invest 7 grand into a z32 with low miles, would i regret it? If you have had any major problems with your z32s, please, let me know what they are, and what i could expect from one of them. thanks.

Re: Thinkin about buying a z32 na....
Im not entirely sure what your second post was about... But ok.
Hint of advice... The first day you get the car, get the timing belt changed, IMMEDIATELY. VG30DE's and VG30DETT's are kinda tough to work on, so be prepared to learn something if you ever try to fix it. Zed's also have quite a bit of electrical problems as well... So be aware about those. Other than that, good luck. And dont get the Stealth for Christ's sake. -Wes

Re: Thinkin about buying a z32 na....
there is only frequent problems if you don't take care of it. if you are good to her, she will be good to you. the timing belt should be changed every 60k miles, and if you don't, then it will most likely break and then your engine will be all screwed up. once you have a z, you WILL be addicted.

Re: Thinkin about buying a z32 na....
i think he means he bought the car... i just picked up a z31 n/a... needed quite a bit of work done to it, but i think it's going to work out just great now that everything's fixed up.. all i'm saying is that you will not be disappointed with this car as long as you take care of it!

Re: Thinkin about buying a z32 na....
i owned a 1984 z31 na and it was great for 3 months, but i would have been lucky if i could sell it for 2500. I recently traded it for an acura integra which is worth a bit more and runs very nice. But as soon as i traded my z31 away, this person started to have all sorts of trouble. If i buy a z32 i dont want anyone eles trouble. Anyway, how much is a timing belt?

Re: Thinkin about buying a z32 na....
you could either buy just the timing belt which is just $35 plus labor, or you could buy the 60k maint. kit (which i would do) which is $300 plus labor http://store.yahoo.com/sgpracing-sto...03060ksek.html
