Wheel offsets & tires.
Hello all, new here. I have a couple of questions that no one at any of the dealerships or wheel/tire shops either knows the answer to or is willing to answer.
We own a 1998 Pathfinder LE. Thing is...I want to get rid of the 15" 'snowflake' wheels...and tires. I want to either get wider, nicer looking 15" wheels or go to a 16" wheel/tire package. Now, here's my problem. I don't know why no one can tell me why the LE (canadian) comes with 235/75/15's while the XE/SE come with 265/70/15's. A) Is there a problem with putting 265/70/15's on the stock LE wheels? If so, why is it? Difference in wheel offset between the XE/SE and the LE? B) If I were to use the 265/70/15's on my LE, what 15" wheel offset will I require? C) If I were to get 16" wheels, could I fit 275/60/16's on the LE or would 265/60/16's be the better choice? Thanks in advance. Juan
