my brake lights don't work, but taillights do

i have a 95 caprice police package, LT1. and someone stole my amp for my stereo, they just cute the wires (ground, remote, power) and now my brake lights don't work. tail lights work, turn signal works, but no brake lights including 3rd brake light above the trunk. maybe a fuse, or wire, cause the bulbs work just not when you press the brakes. the 3rd brake light is new, but if that bulb go's out i didn't think the other brake light would go out. i've had one go out and the others stayed on. thanx, ryan

Man that sucks about your amp. As for the brakes, it was probably a fuse that got popped when the wires got cut.

thanx, yeah that does suck, they took the amp out, poped the trunk and took the speakerbox, tried to take the cd player, but the couldn't get the dash off so they just took the face plate. now i can't even listen to a cd till i find a new faceplate. i think it's a fuse to. i checked the fuses a little, but i'll check everything tommorow.
