Car stalled on highway two times!!

Alright, my brother has a 2001 Malibu, when he was heading home from Philly today he said his car stalled twice when he was goin down the highway. we have no idea what could be causing this. any ideas? also how can i check his computer to see if there are any codes being thrown?

Go to any Auto Zone or Advance and have them check your codes. You need a code reader, and unless you work on your own vehicles, they are too expensive to purchase ($150) for a one time deal. make sure they write down the codes and tell you what each means

ight ill tell him to do that, its free right? wish the malibu was as easy as my maxima, has an onboard diagnostic or wut ever u would describe it as.

Can you still jump the diagnostic connector to get a code? I know on older GM vehicles you would jump the A & B pin to get them.

That went away with OBD requirements around model year 1996 I think
