location of egr valve on a 99?

can someone please tell me if the egr valve on the 99 maxima is the canister below the throttle body or if it is the canister behind the throttle body that is connected to the intake manifold at the back almost against the fire wall?

i have pulled the code for a clogged egr valve and need to clean it out and any other related places.
