FS: 91' CRX DX - Missouri- $1000

EDIT: New price, $1,000. I have a d16z6 engine + Skunk2 intake manifold as well (the engine has no ECU/tranny/harness). I will sell the package for $1,500.

I have a 91' Honda CRX DX for sale. I believe (don't quote me, this is off the top of my head) it has about 178k miles on the original (d15b2) engine. It does not smoke, and has no serious problems as far as I know. The only problem which I have had, I believe is the distributor. Once in a while, it won't want to start, and after it sitting for about 5 minutes or so, starts up fine. I have an extra distributor that I got when I bought the car, so I *believe* it'd fit, so if anyone buys the car I'll include that distributor for free.

Body:

Body is good, no serious dents or anything. There is a tiny dent on the drivers side fender, but it's usually hard to notice. I would probabyl replace the fender rather than have it popped out, cause it's a weird dent. Also, there was some surface rust on the rear fenders, which I sanded/primed/painted. The paint match wasn't perfect, but it's not horrible, either. Besides that, the body is fine. It has the typical paint-fading from the roof (was a florida car, when i lived there), and that's about it.

Interior:

Interior is pretty damn clean. I vaccum it down fairly often, and spray the interior with "Simple green", and keep the vinyl nice. It had Si seats in it when I bought it, and whoever put them in did a bad job- because both seats are kind of loose. I've gotten used to it, because I was going to just put Recaro's in there, but either way. Also, it has the typical cracked climate control. It DOES have a CD player that I recently removed. It is a Kenwood MP3 CD player. If whoever buys this would like that, I will probably include it free..it's a nice CD player too, w/ remote.

Misc:

The drivers side window is kind of loose, and when I Roll it up, sometimes it won't seal all the way, so I also have to keep an eye on that.

Mechanically:

I've had no serious problems, just done routine maintainence. The tires on there, have been there for maybe 5k miles. I bought the car at 150k miles, and nearly ALL of those miles I've put on were highway miles. I was having slight squeaking from the brakes, and had the rotors turned, and the sound went away, but occasionally you can hear it again. I was told it wasn't much of a problem, because the pads are a semi-metallic pad, so you'll get that.

Besides that, it's basically stock. I have a d16z6 that I bought to put in it, along with a skunk2 intake manifold, but plans change, and parts/cars come and go! I hope whoever buys this can take care of it. I'm asking $1,000 as is. It does have a decent sized crack in the windshield right now, and if someone decides they DO want to buy it, I will pay to have the windshield replaced, or if they do not want it done by a local shop around here, we may be able to arrange something.

Sale:
I am located in Columbia, Missouri, but I will drive within maybe, 3 hours to deliver it, as long as the buyer is serious. If a potential buyer just wants to look at it, I'd prefer they come to me, cause I'd rather not take 6 hours out of my way to find out they weren't serious.

Again, $1,000 takes er'...

EDIT: Skunk2 Intake manifold and the z6 are SOLD!

Your pictures arent loading. Can you send me a pic. I am in iowa. Would you be willing to trade? If not i have the cash but the price will have to negotiated due to high mileage. I bought a crx monday with less miles for $800. It had minor blemishes and was mechanicly sound. I have a 88 prelude Si with mods and under a 100k miles. The car is clean and is mechanicly sound. Does not include the wheels though.

The trades I was actually preferring were more along the lines of me getting a 92-95 hatch and paying the owner cash as well, but, I do like your prelude. Do you have more pictures of it? Could you describe it further in depth? I could fairly seriously be willing to trade for it. I mailed you a picture of the CRX. I apologize for it not loading..

BTW- I sent those 2 pics to [email protected]...is that OK? If not, what address would you like em' sent to?

Its an 88 prelude Si 5 speed. Has 96K miles on it. It has always serviced before recomended times. I so all of my own work. This ride is mechanicly sound. Has a new Battery. Good Clutch

Interior: Clean for an 88. Has no rips in the seats. Has a small cig. burn on the drivers seat from the previous owner. Drivers carpet is worn from the previous owner but has new floor mats that hide the flaw. Dash and plastic has no cracks and is cleaned like every other day.

Exterior: Has no dents or rust. I repaired all blemishes. It does need a coat of paint. There are a few Maacos in OK. You can have a decent paint job done for $500 or less. I was going to paint it at maaco in IL in the fall but for now it is primer gray. The tail lights are tinted to hide the ugly stock tails. All of the emblems are shaved including the antenna. I wanted the smooth look.

Mods:
1. VIS demon body kit
2. Reverse glow gauges
3. KYB shocks
4. Adjustable coilovers
5. CAI
6. Pacesetter Headers
7. Pacesetter catback
8. Street Glow underglow neons -Blue- Front bulb was broken by a rock
9. Added Autolock power door locks
10. Added Autoloc power trunk release
11. JL 6.5 components for the doors with Audiobahn tweeters
12. Audiobahn 6.5 speakers rear
13. N1 Muffler

The Alarm,Wheels,Head unit, and Amp arent included.

What do you think would be a fair deal? I am willing to negotiate

SOFAST- how much for the prelude? and where are you located at? I don't need any of the stereo. And since the rims aren't included do you have stockers to go back on.
