F430 or 997TT with $100,000 of mods?

I've heard good things about the F430. Sounds like an engineering marvel. But in Australia, the F1 with Carbon-ceramic brakes will cost anywhere between $450k to $470k.

The 997TT on the other hand should come in at around $350k.

So that leaves about $100,000 for mods. Even in Australia where everything cost about double the U.S., that should be enough to do anything a sane person would want to do to a 911TT.

So come on guys, fors and againsts.

I don't know much about the new F430...but I know that the Porsche 911 Turbo is a MONSTER, and with $100,000 in upgrades, you could build a highly comptetive race car out of it. Even stock vs. stock, I'd probably take the 911 Turbo.

the porsche would be nice, especially with 100k in mods, but i have fell in love with the 430. it just looks so awesome and 490 hp!!! yeah, the porsche will be faster, but the ferrari is just more elegant and to say that you have a ferrari.

Well, the Porsche nameplate carries a little weight of its own ya know

I need to do more research on this new Ferrari, I don't even know what it looks like.
