Is there a stock spot on the firewall that has room to run wire?
I haven't been able to look from the car being jacked up, but looking from inside of the vehicle I can't see one. Does one have to be made (please God say no!) or is there a spot?

Do you mean like a hole between the inside of your car and the engine bay? Sorry, I don't really get what your asking. ;o/

Yes. The wall between the inside of your vehicle and the engine bay is called a firewall.

Okay then yeah, there should be a hole. I have a '94 SL and it's down there next to all the pedals.

do I have to pull back the carpet or anything? I swear I've looked down there and can't find a spot out in the open to run wire through.

I don't have to to see the hole but yours could be different seeing that you have a '92 VR4.

Re: Is there a stock spot on the firewall that has room to run wire?
I have a 96 vr4, and I ran my boost gauge vacuum tube through a hole that was already there above the pedals. Your best bet is to climb in, under your dash(probably upsidedown, and no this isn't the most comfortable thing) and look where other wires and tubes are going through....I had no problems running a vacuum tube through a precut hole with other wires running through it above the pedals.

I recall when I was installing my stereo system in my 99 sl that there was a hole on the passenger side just below the glove box. I couldn't tell you if the car comes with one or if a previous owner did it. I used it to run a 4 guage power wire through to my trunk. Hope it helps.
